Opera Tents as a festival stage
On Sunday, July 6th 2014 one of our tents stood on the site of the Love Family Park in Mainz. A good 17,500 people came to celebrate. As the festival used to take place on the Mainwiesen in Hanau and was known as a green festival, the new, rather bare site of the Messe Mainz (Mainz Trade Fair) was transformed into a lawn of deep green with the aid of ca. 15,000 m² of turf. More than 21 DJs delighted the visitors over a total of 4 floors. Giants of the scene such as Sven Väth, Chris Liebing, DJ Karotte, Matthias Kaden, Âme und Luciano celebrated with the crowd and transformed their public into a state of euphoria.
Because of an impending storm the festival had to be broken off somewhat earlier than planned, but our tent passed its involuntary hurricane test with top speeds of 150 km/h without any damage.
