Opera -Tent as stage canopy

The Küchwaldbühne in Chemnitz was abandoned many years ago and brought back to life by a small group of culture enthusiasts in 2010 with a first play.

In the following years, the association repeatedly rented a "small" opera tent as a stage roof.

Finally, in 2020, the association decided to buy an 18x21 roof to cover large parts of the stage. This means that much of the scenery and acting are now protected from the weather and can be used almost every play day!

The chosen service contract with Opera supports the annual erection and dismantling of the tent. During the storage periods in winter, the membrane is cleaned, prepared and stored. This keeps the membrane and the system in perfect condition for many years.
