Opera-Tent as stage roof covering
The Küchwaldbühne in Chemnitz was abandoned many years ago and was brought back to life in 2010 by a small group of culture enthusiasts with a first production.
In the following years, the association repeatedly rented a “small” Opera-Tent as stage roof covering.
Ultimately, the association decided in 2020 to purchase an 18×21 roof in order to now be able to cover large parts of the stage. This way, a large part of the scenery and actors are now protected from the weather and can use almost every performance day!
Through the chosen service contract with Opera, the annual setup and dismantling of the tent is supported. During storage periods in winter, the membrane is cleaned, maintained and stored. This keeps the membrane and system in perfect condition for many years.
