Premiere of the new BaseXtensions

In recent years, we have repeatedly received inquiries from our customers and prospects asking whether there is a possibility to set up the Opera-Tent at an elevated height. The reason was ultimately always the same: an LED wall should be built into the curved roof. So the square must fit into the round. Critics would now say: “Then just take a standard stage roof – then you can hang the LED wall directly into it.” But our customers didn’t want exactly that! We offer a visually appealing and spectacular stage, not a standard one.

With the BaseXtension, we give our customers exactly this possibility. The roof can be variably raised between 80 cm and 160 cm higher. This makes you independent of additional installations, such as a stage or truss construction.

This is particularly interesting for major events with standing audiences. The Love Family Park with its around 25,000 visitors was the first festival where the BaseXtension was used. Already last year, the technical director, Jochen Schwalb, had asked for such a possibility. In 2015, we were able to offer him a technical and statically secure solution. This also implements the increasingly higher regulations. The setup is uncomplicated and well thought out”.

The BaseXtension fits for the two sizes available on the market 10×12 and 18×21, as well as for the new size 15×17 currently under construction. This will presumably come to market in 2016.
