Federal President’s Summer Festival 2011

Opera presents new version

This year too, the traditional Federal President’s summer festival took place on July 1, 2011. From across the entire federal territory, about 2,000 volunteers were invited to celebrate the festival under the motto “Promoting Cohesion”. Some of them gave a small insight into their volunteer work and presented their projects. The Federal President and his wife Bettina were pleased to welcome children and young people to the summer festival for the first time this year. And so among the approximately 5,600 guests, alongside prominent figures from politics and society, there were also about 600 children.

The program was hosted by Nazan Eckes and Hape Kerkeling. Entertainment was provided by over 280 musicians and artists, with the musical highlight being the band Silly from Berlin. For refreshments, 75 chefs and over 200 service staff were on hand.

Already last year, the executing agency CB.e Clausecker | Bingel. Ereignisse AG as well as the Federal Presidential Office decided on Opera-Tent.com. For the new event concept implemented for the first time last year, they were looking for an elegant, not too bulky stage roof covering with however 260sqm of stage area. They found this balance between design and large stage area in our roofing system. Enthusiastic about the system and the swift assembly and dismantling, the choice for this year’s summer festival fell on Opera-Tent again, also due to the commitment.

The clients were visibly surprised when they saw the brand-new and improved OES version. “You can clearly see the revision of the tent system – as if it had received a facelift. This makes it look even more stylish”, said Orhan Köse, section leader of the event. Some technical innovations and improvements ensure even better and absolutely wrinkle-free tension of the roof membrane.
