Anniversary at the Opera Square

On May 2, 2011, the Technical University of Chemnitz celebrated its 175th anniversary with a ceremony at the Opera and an anniversary festival on the Opera Square. This was the launch of the festival week with a diverse program ranging from concerts to sports and exhibitions.

We provided technical support for the anniversary festival on the Opera Square. The central focal point was our Opera-Tent stage roofing system. It provided weather protection for the speeches, discussion rounds and performances by Studio WM with the Reinhard Stockmann Band. Weather protection was really needed, as unfortunately the almost summer-like weather of the previous days took a break. However, the 1500 Chemnitz residents were not deterred and celebrated in temperatures just a few degrees above zero, with wind and drizzle.
In addition to the exclusive stage system, we also supplied the complete event technology.

The sophisticated system enables setup in just one day including stage flooring – even CB.e was surprised at how quickly the stage was ready and subsequent trades could begin their work.
